Scion Solutions developed SkinDisc, a therapy that uses a unique recipe of the patient's own cells to treat chronic wounds. By utilizing the tools and methodology of SkinDisc technology, surgeons can generate a pluri-potent cellular gel to apply to a chronically affected environment, such as a chronic wound, to promote healing.
Co-Managing partner Scion Solutions LLC, Spencer has been in the medical device industry for over 35 years as a successful account manager, sales trainer/technician, territory mgr. and Distributor, earning multiple top sales awards from both Zimmer and Wright Medical. As a leading distributor Spencer had one of the first mobile labs in the country to educate surgeons on site. Mr. Brown was co-creator of the first-to-market ‘Value Priced Orthopedic Implant’ company, White Box Orthopedics, which was sold to Microport (now know as Implant Partners). He has several patents currently being processed or in the final review with the patent office and was also co-designer of the FastCast off-loading Total Contact System which was taken from concept to market and acquired prior to launch in just 18 months. Spencer holds Bachelor of Science from Purdue University West Lafayette, Indiana.
Dr. Tanya Rhodes
Dr. Rhodes serves as President and CEO of Rhodes & Associates, which provides strategic consulting services for Healthcare companies, from concept through commercialization, including R&D, quality control and regulatory compliance, strategic marketing, clinical trial consultation as well as manufacturing and business development services. She previously served as CEO of a global medical device company Manukamed that develops , manufactures and commercializes products for wound healing, repair and regeneration. Dr. Rhodes served as CTO for a start-up pharmaceutical company NitroBiotherapeutics specializing in novel biopharma compounds. Prior to her C-Level roles, Dr. Rhodes held various management positions, including time as VP of innovation for Smith and Nephew PLC.
Dr. Brock Liden, MD
Dr. Liden is a Board Certified Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in private practice and is recognized as one of the world’s foremost experts in wound care and diabetic limb salvage. Most recently, Dr. Liden developed the Skin Disc technology. He has also been involved in multiple successful product development programs, including the GraftJacket Derma Matrix, which was ultimately sold to Wright Medical Group and the Endoform Collagen Matrix, which helped take from initial discovery through clearance, to a $60M product in a 5 year period. Dr. Liden is a graduate of Capital University, received his Medical Degree from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his Residency at the Dayton VA Medical Center.
